Back Injury Workers Comp. - tjones288 - 03-14-2014

Hello.. im new to this but I wanted to ask a question about my workers comp case. I injured my back while at work and damaged a couple nerves. Im in California and have hired a lawyer. I now have a QME Panel assigned. Is this good or bad?
just curious to know whats next...

it means you or the carrier employer has a dispute with the treating doctor's opinion.
a QME resolves medical disputes.
you can find out more about the QME process here
factsheet E
http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/iwguides.html
and here

Thx for the response...there were 3 doctors which 2 got dismissed. This QME doctor will he determine a settlement?

I don't know what this issues are in your case.
if you or the carrier are disputing your treating doctor's rating, then the QME will provide the rating for your disability.
a QME can resolve medical disputes and they can be about most anything.

you should start your own thread when you have a different topic- it won't confuse others that come here looking for help.
you should contact other attys until you find one that you like. make sure they specialize in workers comp

or use the link at the bottom of the page.
if you are becoming depressed request a referal for counseling.
