Prayers for my husband - Bummer Knees - 01-06-2013

My husband has been having pains of the right side of the neck that comes and goes, the pains he has ignored thinking it is a stiff neck.

Last month he went to the doctor and was treated for a respiratory infection but the doctor found something else while doing an examination.

Last week he had an MRI and tomorrow he sees an heart specialist for and ultrasound and visits with the specialist after the ultrasound.

Friday when I picked up the mail I opened a letter from a surgical group with the MRI report. I was shocked, I did not know he had been to the doctor!

When I showed him the report, he said you have enough medical that I did not want to worry you.

My husband's condition may require immediate surgery and a weeks stay in the hospital, we will know more tomorrow.

I will be at the appointment in the morning.

Please say a prayer for my husband.

Thanks everyone.

According to the MRI my husband is facing a life threating medical condition.

I just pray the ultrasound to be done tomorrow proves the MRI wrong.

thoracic aortic aneurysm
It has not burst...yet

RE: Prayers for my husband - Bummer Knees - 01-07-2013

He had an echo done this morning. The aneurysm showed smaller on the echo today than it did on the MRI, that is good news!

He is scheduled for a CT scan on the 28th and returns to the doctor. The size of the aneurysm depends on the treatment, 4.6 cm or larger and he will have open heart surgery. Smaller than that he will be monitored every six months.

He has restrictions, no lifting over 50 lbs, no salt, monitor the BP.

I believe this this is a genetic condition influenced by life styles, there is family history.

I am watching him to make sure he behaves.
