Do I still get workers comp if I've been laid off?

So is it illegal to lay someone off if theyre on workers comp? And can they file for unemployment while also receiving workers comp?

I found this article and it really got me thinkin

if your employment is covered by FMLA you have 12 weeks of job protection.
If you are temporarily disabled and can’t accept a job offer, you cannot collect unemployment.

........Each state has their own comp system; POST YOUR STATE to get accurate information. Use the search feature to find information from similar questions.

I don't know where you are, but in Texas an injured worker can get laid off. Of course, if they do this then the insurance company has to pay benefits. Here's a book about Texas workers' comp laws written for injured workers: *** Link removed. No advertising on the forum please.
