I recommend applying for California state disability if you have not done so already and if your doctor anticipates you will be out of work 12 months or longer due to your injury Social Security Disability.

thanks.. i am just glad they are getting me into a doctor sooner rather than later. my lungs are shot. i applied for ssdi almost 2 years ago but the wait for a hearing is horendously long. i was on sdi for a short period for other problems. but that was exhausted very quickly. I really thank you for the advice and welcome any words of wisdom. I am gonna see if i can file again for state DI.

heres a question... while WC claim is on delay and waiting for my AME appointment the IC has hired defense lawyers. why do they do this? is it a normal procedure?

so i went to my AME. Lasted 2 hours and they ran alot of test.(blood,urine,spirometer,EKG,ultrasound angiogram,and alot of questions)plus the usual weight, vitals, etc.... i am scheduled for follow up and im being referred to other kinds of specialist as well. I guess all i can do now is wait for everyone to get the report and see what it says. happy holidays to e1.

well i have a follow up with the AME doctor coming up soon and i still havent heard anything about my first appointment. any body know what is going on ? thanks

Follow up is appointment is normal. The AME office is not allowed to contact you, except for apt and testing.
Your attorney may have received a copy of the AME first report (if he wrote one). You can call your attorney and ask if they received it and if so if they can send you a copy. The AME may not have written a report yet (unknown).

Attorney's don't usually update clients or forward them reports. So it is normal what you are experiencing, in my opinion.

heres an update.. so i went to my follow up appointment with PTP/AME?? so he says he still has not gotten my records from attorney or the IC. so he looks at me and says if there gonna do that he is gonna keep me off of work until further notice and that they will call me when they hear anything.then he said you can go now . he didnt discuss any of my test results from first appointment. he just said that he is gonna keep me off of work. i am approaching 90 days real soon. wonder what is going on. thanks for reading and for any advice in advance.
