When Smart People Do Dumb Things…

People are fallible, yet we design our systems and processes as if they are not.  “Problem employees” don’t exclusively have the market on mistakes.   Even the best and brightest in our organizations are subject to lapses, omissions and errors.   What should we as leaders be doing to anticipate and manage these error likely situations?  How do we build a better, safer and more efficient work environment by embracing, not denying the human condition.

I want to welcome you to the 2021 Georgia Safety Conference scheduled for September 8-10, 2021.  We have decided to hold an onsite only conference this year. We are optimistic that this will be a great conference. Considering we haven’t had a conference the past two years; we are all ready to get back to this great annual event. Of course, we will follow safety protocols set by CDC and State of Georgia.  Let’s have a safe, productive and fun event. We hope you will be able to join us. 

The general session will begin Wednesday morning, followed by technical breakout sessions.  Exhibitors will be set up in the common areas and looking forward to everyone dropping by and checking out the latest in safety products and services.  The conference program will blend new and traditional topics covering leadership, legal, human resources, environmental and safety best practices.
