The Nevada Department of Business and Industry, Division of Industrial Relations, and the International Workers’ Compensation Foundation (IWCF) are jointly sponsoring a conference to educate participants in the Nevada workers’ compensation system regarding current law, rules, procedures, policies and forms and to provide an opportunity for dialogue. The program focuses on topics of particular importance for employers, occupational health physicians and nurses, insurance adjusters, self-insurers, third party administrators, safety and human resource managers, claimant’s and defense attorneys, health care providers, mediators and medical and vocational rehabilitation providers. In fact, anyone interested in the Nevada workers’ compensation system will receive valuable information at the conference.
The 9th Annual Nevada Workers' Compensation Educational Conference has been approved for 10 hours of continuing education credits for claims adjusters (Nevada Division of Insurance) and attorneys (Nevada Board of Continuing Legal Education). Both approvals include 1 hour of ethics. Applications for continuing education credit are pending for HR (SHRM) and rehabilitation professionals (CRC, CDMS, CCM). A certificate of attendance will be provided for other professional disciplines
