The ASSP Central Texas Chapter Construction group and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be hosting a construction summit on October 4 in Austin, Texas. The 5th Annual Central Texas Construction Safety Summit will offer information on best practices for the industry’s common safety and health hazards.

Tips on laser safety

The Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) shares five tips to reduce the risk of accidental laser eye injuries, which can cause severe complications and blindness. Tips include understanding the sources of laser radiation and hazards as well as limiting exposure, wearing protection and undergoing training.

Tips for improving indoor air quality

Since COVID-19 began, focus on indoor air quality has greatly increased. An Industrial Safety & Hygiene News article is sharing tips for improving indoor air quality. Topics include ventilation, flooring, HVAC filters, air purifiers and indoor plants.

Webinar will discuss OSHA myths
