Everyone Gets a Participation Ribbon for This Week's Millennial Hot Seat Webinar
26 Jun, 2018 WorkersCompensation.com
Registration has opened for the fourth episode of the Hot Seat Webinar Series, titled “Rise of The Millennials: The Passing of the Baton”. It will air June 29, 2018 at 1:00PM Eastern. Registration, available here, is free.
This is going to be a very interesting webinar.
According to Pew Research, Millennials became the single largest demographic group in the United States workforce in 2016. Today, there are an estimated 56 million millennials on the job in the US, compared to 53 million Baby Boomers. This shift will become even more dramatic as every day over the next 19 years 10,000 boomers will reach the age of 65. The Hot Seat Webinar will take a look at the changes and challenges we can expect as the baton gets passed to a younger, and massive, generation.
Judge David Langham will join me in welcoming Alfred Faber of ISO and our own Dara Barney for a frank discussion on the topic.
The truth is, there are many misperceptions about Millennials, from what motivates them to loyalty in the workplace. Even the highly touted participation ribbon can prove to be a myth for many of them. Still, the way this massive generation thinks and responds to issues is different than the way the Baby Boomers have handled things. Theirs is an internet generation, with technology and social media impacting development and viewpoints far more than those who came before them.
How things are managed in the workplace will change based on their growing influence. We look forward to taking that topic head on this Friday.
Seating for this presentation is limited. Persons interested in attending “Rise of The Millennials: The Passing of the Baton” are encouraged to register here. The program will also be available for playback immediately following the live webcast.
