Change from one IC to another...can this stop scheduled shoulder repair?
Hello again...
I just received notice that my company is changing from original IC to **********(my company is self insured but uses them to manage claims). Will this have any negative affect on my claim? My claim was accepted with no problem 07/09. Did have issues with the WC clinic docs (the usual "it's just strained") fought to see an ortho and was properly diagnosed. I am scheduled for rotator cuff, slap tear, clavical resection and subacromial decompression in May. Can the new company stop my surgery? Still trying to figure out how all of this works. They did finally (only took them 2 months lol) finish computing my average monthly wage and I am over the max the state allows so won't even get the 66 2/3. Funny, I had already figured all that out months ago and it only took me about 30 minutes! Guess you just have to roll with the punches and take what you can get and try to recover as quickly as possible. I'm hoping to get back to work asap and put this all behind me! Shoulder hurting more each day now pain is in front area of clavicle as well. I tried to move my surgery up but no luck, surgeon is booked. Worried that I am causing damage to my neck and forearm from overcompensating. I think I'm using my forearm strength to make up for the loss of strength in the shoulder. Think someone here suggested the neck pain is from scrunching my shoulder due to the pain, hurts all the way up the side and back of my neck. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it all get better after the surgery? Some of you have responded to my other questions and I know many of you had problems after surgery, I'm just hoping for the best. Sorry for the rant, guess I just needed to let it out. Thanks for any insight

RE: Change from one IC to another...can this stop scheduled shoulder repair?
I am not sure if it can stop shoulder repair but I just wanted to say good luck with ********* That's who I was dealing with and could never get any where. So again good luck with that. Someone else should be by shortly to answer your question.
I have had capsulodesis scaphoid, capsulodesis lunotriquetral joint wrist, debridement of triangular fibrocartilage all in my right wrist and a tendon sheath release(that was just one surgery) & a lunotriquetral fusion Plus now a wrist fusion |
