hello
Hello-

Tuffy convinced me to register a new name and say hi. So, here I am saying HI lol...

I have not been here even to read since I left. So, I'm really behind on how everyone is doing. If you wouldnt mind, please reply here with an update just so I know how your all doing. I will do the same.

First let me start with, I'm not really back, back. I am here to offer support if needed. As I explained to Tuffy, I'm not really cut out for this type of message board/forum. I'm a very sensitive person and my feelings get hurt to easily. Ken(grundig) called me, and I even told him that I wasnt returning. But speaking with Tuffy in IM's earlier convinced me to just stop by and say hello and update.

Heres my update:
Of course my work is still messing with me. They decided to cancel my health insurance with no notice and they back dated the cancelation date to June 1st. Even though I paid my share. They are applying that money to what I owe in overpayment. So, my therapy, prescriptions, a couple of surgeon visits that I had in June and early July will all be kicked back on me. They still wont allow me to return to work with my restrictions. They also havent offered cobra, and refused to fill out the forms for social services, so Geenas insurance was canceled thru the state along with all the other assistance I was receiving. So for a month, we got to eat really good. I was actually able to eat everyday without worrying about taking food from Geena. Thankfully since the amount they gave us for july was a decent, I mean decent amount for 2 people, I was able to stock up on Geenas food. So shes good for this month too. (aug)

The surgeon discovered a tumor in my left index finger, and he suspects that it has attached itself to the bone. I was supposed to have surgery to have it removed and biopsied, but they canceled my insurance the day before.

I start school in a few weeks, I'm changing careers. New career will be respiratory therapist. Since I already have a bachelors degree and most of the required courses, it should take me about a yr to complete.

I met a nice man, we chatted online for about a year and finally decided to meet in person about a month ago. So far things are perfect between us. Geena loves him, hes so good with her. Brings me to tears (happy ones of course) when I see the two of them together, he's just so good to her and does the things with her that I cant do, like pushing her on the swings and such. When we are out, it feels like we are one happy family. He's a few years older than I am, he's divorced (10 yrs), has sole custody of his 16 year old daughter. He's an antique dealer and does quite well for himself.

My shoulder is about the same. Still sensitive to cold and things blowing on it. It's been kinda tough with the weather being in the 80's and 90's and not being able to tolerate cold. I have to use the ac so Geena doesnt get sick from the heat, so I find myself wearing sweaters when its 90 degrees out. The people in the grocery stores look at me funny lol. Dr says that the shoulder is inflamed which is whats causing this. He said its very common to have this inflammation after a second surgery to the same area. He prescribed Mobic which is normally given to people with RA. It doesnt really help, so I stick to the sweaters. I'm waiting for my comp to finally be approved so I can have a MRI on my left shoulder. Surgeon said I will most likely need the same type of repair as I had on my right side but he needs to hold off on doing it until my right shoulder is good enough to use on its own. He said about a yr from now, if the left shoulder can hold on that long.

Tomorrow I go to court, it's trial day. Hopefully this will be the end. I doubt it, but one can wish right? Weve had 4 hearings in the last 7 months and now trial. They are really holding out.

Thank you Ken for calling me, it was nice to speak with you and put a voice to the name. Since I've never spoken with you before on the phone, I had no clue who you were until you mentioned boycott my work lol. I know I told you that I wasnt coming back, but Tuffy convinced me to at least say HI.

Ive been off my ad's and narcotic pain meds for about 5 weeks now, things seem to be ok. No crying spells, no sitting in the dark, no hiding from he public ect... and yes tweety, the first thing I do when I get up in the morning is open my blinds. The dr and I both agreed that I wouldnt need to be on the ad's long. Once I decided to let my bad feelings go about my work and to start living a normal life with or without the use of my arm, things would go back to normal for me. And they have. Without caring about my injury or the pain, I went bowling last night with Geena and my bf, it felt sooooo good to be doing something that I used to do and something that I loved doing. I was only able to make it thru 2 games before I had to stop. Once I couldnt throw the ball straight anymore I figured my shoulder had enough. I went from getting all strikes and spares to only knocking down 3 or 4 pins per frame. ACK lol. The only problem I had noticed was I couldnt move my arm back enough to throw a hard ball. The shoulder felt stable, so I'm thinking the 2nd surgery was a success.

All and all, life is good. I'm broke with no income, but life is good.

Loving Mom to the greatest 4 year old little girl in the world. There is nothing more beautiful than a bright smile on a child. I never knew what true love was until I held my daughter for the first time. Take care of our children, they are our future.
