What is Medical set-a-side, good or used for! (in Louisiana)

it's part of the requirements of the federal medicare program and is used the same way in all states:
the future medical benefit portion of a settlement is put in a trust account to pay for future work comp treatments.

Great infomation and sites...you should be an Attorney! My attorney still has not responded since November. Are there any options other than the Medicare set-aside?

Can you do this in Louisiana?
I did not think keeping the medical open instead of a MSA was possible.
Where can I find out if open medical is a option in Louisiana when settling?
