peumonia
Well, now I know why I'm so run down, not battling just a cold for 3 weeks but pneumonia. Partial bed rest, 4 meds, don't want to take the steroids. What a way to start spring break. But then we're expecting snow tonight so it's definitely not spring.
Well be here when I can, sleeping a lot. Hate coughing, feels like my scapula's are going to pop out the front or something like that. (If I'm not making sense, well, I don't know. Brain isn't quite firing the way it should be. Take care all, enjoy the robins flying around, they know spring is close to arriving. BB |

RE: peumonia
Bodybuilder, Have they offered you the pneumonia shot? 2 years ago my sister came to visit from wisconsin and left me with the Flu and pneumonia together. I thought I wanted to curl into a ball and just die. My dr. then gave me the pnuemonia vaccine, it wont stop all of it but will stop the viral type. Also if you don't want the steroids try an inhailer it helps. Lots of deep breathing even though it hurts and you cough. You need to bring that crap out of your lungs. My mother was always a stickler on deep breathing, maybe because she's a Respitory Therapist. She waould also always ask what color is it. Kind of gross, so I won't get into it. I hope you feel better soon.

RE: peumonia
BB, sorry to hear and as you may know I was hospitalized for 4 days last week for the same thing.. And I always get the shots and got it last fall and now just last week, mine started out as a head cold then turned to sinus and then the bomb. It wiped me right out, they gave me lots of antibiotics (IV) but sent me home with Levaquin and steroids. I do feel a lot better but still have room to improve, and has took this long for it to loosen up in the lungs......
I hope you get feeling better soon......Bronco |

RE: peumonia
Wish I could join you Jayne, sounds wonderful. We moved into a small city almost 5 yrs ago, we can't raise chickens, rabbits, etc anymore. I miss it to death, we even had two ducks (Humphrey and Bogart), however we couldn't tell them apart and one might of been a girl. An eagle showed up one afternoon and ate either Humphrey or Bogart. So the remaining duck grieved for weeks, kept on chasing him down and giving him eyedroppers full of protein shake until he got over it. Few months after that he flew away, I had forgotten to clip his wings after the other was eaten.
We will put in a big garden this year, I had wanted to start it this weekend into next week during spring break but can't. So hopefully before too long I'll get it done. We'll have one entire garden 12x12 plot of nothing but tomatoes. I have neighbors who help themselves to my produce all the time (during the night) so I have to plant extra. Zucchini, tomatoes and banana peppers, those are our main crops. Well bed time, been up 2 hours and my head hurts. BB |

RE: peumonia
Bodybuilder with bummer knees I've learned it is much easier to do a container garden then an inground one.
I can not do then bending due to the back & knees, so this works well. Having the container garden to tend to was good for me emotionally the summer I had the replacement surgery. |
