Shots
As some may know I've been having increased pain in my back and leg. Snow had got in the way of one doc appt and I was sick another so it took until today to get in to get a shot in my back the PM doc wanted to do. Let me tell you it hurt like hell and my rear and leg have never bothered me this much after any other treatment I've had. Sure hope this works and makes me feel better but I'm not holding my breath on this one. I knew things were more then likely never get much better and didn't think they would get as bad as the have so I've been getting really depressed over all this. I've even had a hard time keeping my mind on my prayers. I do remember to pray but most of the time I get off track and forget what I was doing. I know he understands I just wish I knews his plan.

RE: Shots
it was more steroid injections. I've not had any of them for a few years now. None ever did much for me in the past. Problem is they had done RF to treat this pain but the nurse said it was too soon to repeat that so I'm guessing this is to help until they think RF will be paid for. Once again money determines how much pain relief we get and when.

RE: Shots
Manley2, It sounds like you had an injection like I did awhile back. I say that because the side effect is the same. The injection that I had was a two part injection. Part of it was steriod and the other part was to break down any minimal scar tissue that had formed. The side effects lasted for about two days.
Take Care 8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom. |

RE: Shots
Well its been a few days and it has been better. Kind of strange to me because to just sit and try to relax my leg is bothering me more but if I get up and move around it doesn't get as bad as it was. So not sure if this is just going to take more time or what. He did set me up for another shot. I didn't notice this because I was more worried about my whole leg being numb when I left the office then anything else. With PM doc's it just a best guess as to what is going to help the most and I do feel my doc does his best but I do feel those that control the money control the doctors to some degree.
