RE: Anyone ever have this happen before?
Well, maybe that and the kitty boxes. That would certainly be a plus with me. Oh, and a cup of tea in the morning. Yes, that would do just fine.

RE: Anyone ever have this happen before?
I have crps/rsd-in 2008 i spent a month in icu and in 2009 surgery for scs--since the onset of septis cellulitus that sent me into the coma i have not been able to get up from a low chair or a stooping position. like you it is weird--not so much painful--its just nothing seems to conect to tell my brain to let me up--scary thing is i have nightmares now--people and things are coming after me and i cannot move. a cane does not help me get up i lieteraly have to lie down on the floor and roll until i find something low enough to get up on and continue one step higher at a time. in my case i hope its not old age---im only 47---let me know if you ever find out why it is happening to you

I will. What a great bunch of people we are. Maybe if we glue all the good parts together we might just get one whole athlete!!! Now that would be wonderful. Bionic injured workers.

RE: Anyone ever have this happen before?
I became very unconditioned after my injury and over the course of now 4 years I've gained a lot of weight too. It's so hard to get back to physical activity. I know I've said this over and over but I can't express how happy I am since I discovered water therapy. When I started in November I couldn't pull myself out of the pool or even do a squat. So far since starting this exercise regimen, I've lost 25 lbs., now able to keep my depression under control, and I can move a whole lot better. It just takes so much of your day but now I feel it is medically necessary to do something exercise-wise everyday!

I will always have limitatations, like no overhead at all!!! Constant pain is the pits. It takes time to learn what you can actually do if you have a life altering injury. I've been pushing myself so hard that my hands are in really bad shape. I sit here with both braces on and so stiff and sore. LOL!!!! Tongue

Oh yeah, Thank God for my husband who has been selflessly carrying the load without complaint.

Let Go, and Let God......

Chrischris thank you for your thread.

After reading it I have decided to purchase a family membership at the local YMCA.

They have a indoor pool where a arthritis therapy class is held. I plan on checking out this class. I am also doing this because I want to get my kids away from tv.

RE: Anyone ever have this happen before?
Where I go Bummer, there are two indoor pools. One is a 25 yd heated lap pool, and the other is a 10 yd square heated therapy pool. There are classes all day long but I like to do my own thing and that's allowed. When I've stayed later than norm, like after 4 p.m., that's when the families start coming in. It's a wonderful idea to have some fun and get exercised together. Hope it works out for you!

RE: Anyone ever have this happen before?
Ther eis nothing like being in warm water and excercising.....it's also very calming to me.....so it serves two purposes.....I just can't afford it right now.....can't wait until I can get back into it.Smile

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

RE: Anyone ever have this happen before?
I did purchase the membership yesterday.

I believe it will be good for my children, and may help my disabled son with his social skill.

I may in time get the courage to use the pool and exercise area. I haven't had physical therapy since 2007 for the back, and at that time I was under orders of no bending, no lifting over 10 lbs.
