its here darlin.....the ground is cool not warm but it sure smells good where Bill is turning it over.....its a real bittersweet day here......Daddy was always with me when I ordered seeds and when we prepared the garden dont get me wrong he taught us well but I sure wish he was here bossing the whole shebang...it is a hard day......I still have not been able to plant anything in the greenhouse it was built for him and us to work together in I just cant yet...I walk in and bawl like a new born calf.....I really miss that ol man He would be upset and fussing cuz the root crops are not in and the peas not planted..he would say "you expect the garden fairy to swoop down and do the work girl"...sorry guys it is a real hard day......I really thought there were no more tears to shed....

Jayne no spring here still have over 3 feet of snow on the ground and snow showers for the next 10 days comming. March in like a bear and hope out like a lamb.

No spring in sight for us either... We still have almost 3 feet, we have had a light snowfall this year, but we tend to get another foot or two between now and the end of march. I think the warmest day we have had was yesterday 34, but then below 0 at night.. The sun is very powerfull this year and I am praying for a early spring (beginning of April)... So enjoy your heat wave Jayne, but the way mother nature has been dealing the cards, dont be surprised if you get some more snow.....

On a thought of your Daddy, It's hard to deal with emotiions like that and in time it will get better. But one things for sure he is probably along side you waiting for you to get busy... I thought of your daddy bossing you around is somthing you will remember and cherrish.... And I hope your broken heart heals.............Bronco

ty all My Daddy was one hellva man...and he was bar none the best Daddy period.....as far as his gardening he was written up in the paper almost every summer because of his garden..... after we had canned what we needed he gave the rest to those that needed it.....he was a good man and his shoes will be hard to fill....

Jayne My Daddy died in 2004 of complications from post polio.

He and my mother divorced when my sisters and I were young, and he did much of the raising of us 4 girls.

I do miss him so, but it does get better with time.

The first events after.....are difficult.

Jayne, Bummer, remember those wonderful times with your Daddies this year and beyond. Plant for them, sing their songs, tell their stories. May your children and grandchildren tell those stories for years to come. My oldest complains that I tell too many stories, I tell him that it is up to him and his siblings to carry those stories onward.

Let your spring plantings be the roots of their stories for generations to come

jayne... we have had unsual whether here in Oregon... it is raining of course, it is Oregon, but no snow as of yet, and its temperatures have not dropped to freezing as of yet... today it was in its 60's...it was a nice day.

jayne... my prayers and thoughts are with you daily. Love has no boundaries and you and your father will never even in death experience any boundaries. Please know I am here if you ever need to talk ... love you Red

it was a good night full of dreams Daddy was back and the love was touchable...I was able to hug and tell him over and over how much I loved him......
