Do I need Workers Comp Insurance?
Hello,
My husband owns a fitness business. He is the only employee and he exempts himself from Wrokers Comp yet we still get a bill every year for a premium. Times are tough and this year I am questioning why and if this is needed. We live in Pa. Laure

Thanks so much for the response but the business is an S Corp not a sole proprietorship so I guess I'm out of luck? I can't stand paying for this when he is exepmted from coverage, UGH!!! Laure

RE: Do I need Workers Comp Insurance?
Unfortunately that appears to be the case. PA makes no numerical exemptions. Some states to exempt small companies up to a ceertain number, but not PA.
