RE: Red
Red,
If you so much as start to back down into your corner again....I swear, I will search you out myself and drag you to the forefront again. Damn me. You have been through so much. Do NOT go away from us again. It takes a great deal of courage to come through the fire and brimstone of our own peers never mind our own great Lord, and you did that. You took everything you had, laid it bare, and waited for the hurt. There is no way you need to go that path again. And yes, I feel that all personal notes should be just that. PERSONAL. Hey guys, do we need to do this again? Don't think so. |

RE: Red
As I Said, this was None of My Business, and Bummer I Understand that Sparkey May be Under Stress to Move, but Red's Situation Uprooted and Changed Her Entire Life, and She didn't Deserve to be Attacked Publicly the Way She was!! My Daughter just 2 1/2 Weeks ago had a Miscarriage at 7 Weeks along, but that doesn't give Me the Right to Attack anyone that Posts about a New Grand Child or Something a Child of Theirs did!! A Pm Between Them would have shown Much More Class on Sparkey's Part, and They could have Voiced Their Opinions Privately!! It Seems that We have enough of Our Old Crew not Posting as Much Anymore, I don't know Why, but Situations Like This Surely doesn't Help!!

RE: Red
I absolutely agree with all of those who are defending Red. I also paint and I have promised two wonderful people that I would send them a pic. I didn't find out until later that I had to spray them with sealer when you paint with acrylics. Having a parrot I didn't want to spray them in the house because it could kill him. It hasn't been warm enough to spray them outside so I have put it off for awhile. Neither Skeeter nor Still have even PM'd me about this, because they realize that I will send them out as soon as I can. (actually I'm sending them today) Many times as artists we see mistakes etc after we have painted something and want to improve them and make them as good as we can prior to sending them. Since Red and I always try to do our best when we paint a pic for others, since it reflects back on us if we send something that doesn't suit us. Red has been through a great deal and has always gone above and beyond to make our lives on this forum a bit happier. I personally love her artwork and I would be more than happy to wait as long as it would take her to send me one of her beautiful pictures. I am lucky enough to have several of her paintings hanging in my home. I think after all that she has done for you, you could have used a bit more tact in how you approached this.
GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT! |

RE: Red
Well, I fell like I am 19 yrs today.
On my 19th birthday I filed for a divorce after a nasty marriage, I remember telling the divorce attorney, "I can't believe people treated others like this" Those are my thoughts today. I was raised to love & respect others and you will be loved and respected in return. At the age of 19 yrs I learned how cruel some people can be. Red I am so sorry you have been treated this way, you are a loving, wonderful person. I do consider you my sister and love you dearly. |

RE: Red
Bummer......at 56 I am still amazed at how mean, and horrible some people can be to their fellow human being....still knocks my socks off....I stay clear of those I'm not too fond of and pray for them ....and go out with a smile and hello for everyone......me hurting another human being serves no purpose for me and I do very little that I don't get something out of.....I asked my husband the other night if he thought mental illness was getting worsein the country or just plain old hatefulness and meaness......Just the harm that is done to babies and animals makes you wonder...are they sick or just mean.
I know I went on and this had nothing to do with Sparkey and Red....but it came to my mind... God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |

RE: Red
Good Morning all... thanks everyone for understanding that mistakes do happen even on Sparkeys part. None of us are perfect, I believe admin mentioned that once in a post to us all once. Imperfection, making mistakes is most likely one of the things that all of us can count on happening from time time. It is unfortunate when someone feels that they are at the tail end of a mistake as Sparkey was in this case. I truly am sorry Sparkey and as all goes... hopefully it will arrive today or tomorrow so that 4-5 canvas' do not sit at a door etc etc. Good luck with your move, I know how tiring and lonely it is to move from a home you love. My home was my dream house and one that I thought I would die in, but atlas, it all changes. You will adapt as I have, but your lonely days will remain for many months to come..at least mine have. RE: Red
I have to agree that this situation would have been handled better via a PM, email or even a quick phone call. Red was'nt commissioned to paint these pictures for any of us, instead she did it out of the sweetness of her heart.
The games were enjoyable and a way to keep a persons mind off of thier problems, even if only for a short time. I have been pleased to be able to win a few of Red's items and will cherish them always. I also know what kind of hurtles she has had to overcome in this last year. I myself told a friend back east that I was going to mail a package to them that day, when I got to the post office, I had sticker shock at how much the rates had gone up. I waited and found a cheaper method of sending it to them. I had forgotten to email my friend that it was going to be later. She was just gratefull that I sent it. Most companies will not just leave a package, expecially during bad weather, they ussaully leave a tag on the door and hold the item until they are contacted for the delivery. If undeliverable they return it to the sender. Thank you for all that you have done for us Red. I'm hoping to be on here more often. Love Vickie |
