RE: Earth quake
Hey Bronco.

They said the quake was on the 10th....but I swear , yesterday I felt one in the early afternoon while sitting at the pc (crosslegged). I was surprised this morning when I read the quake news, and wondered if I had really experienced it, and my first thoughts that this was a quake was correct.
We live straight east of Chicago, on the Indiana/Michigan border line.

I live in the area, northwest of Chicago and if there was a quake I sure didn't know it, I slept right through the tremors.........And I am a lite sleeper.

RE: Earth quake
Yes, we felt it here in the city. Sounded like a small truck hit the house too. The last Quake we had in Illinois was 2008. This is a strange one, as it has shown some felt it as others didn't. Some as close as 20 fett from another, where one felt it and the other didn't.

RE: Earth quake
Some people are more sensitive to being able to "feel" quakes, than others are. It also depends on where you are positioned....like in the 10th floor of a building, or the 1st.

My brother live in San Francisco, CA. He had a nanny that could 'feel ' the slightest tremor, when the rest of them couldn't.

I remember him telling me that he and his wife watched as water was actually slopping out of their backyard pool, and they didn't feel a thing in the house.

For years, when I was well and able.....I was heavily involved with horses. They would have their "Nut case days". I always wondered if they could feel slight tremors, that us humans could not. (We live on a fault line that runs through In. and Mi.) It always seemed my steady, unshakable horse, was silly and spooky, and the rest of the barnfull of horses was too....making me more convinced, that since it would effect them all, at the same time....they could feel something, maybe tremors.

RE: Earth quake
They say that there were alot of reports from people with animals that the animals were acting very strange and etc just before the quake, So there may be alot of truth to that, animals are very sensitive, look at all the rescue and sniffer dogs, and just not one breed. There was a report of a cat living in a nursing home that knew when a resident was about to die, and would climb up on the bed and stay untill that person passed. So they must have some sort of 6th sence........

Animals are wonderfull creatures.
