Thanks Red, It is always such a compliment to have someone who can paint as well as you can to compliment me. You know me, there were paintbrushes flying LOL. Actually I started out with yellow ochre, didn't like that so I glazed it with olive green, again no go, I then used a mixture of prussian blue and cream and glazed it again. Finally I said OK enough is enough and let it go . I hate it when you just can't get it quite right, but know what you want in your head. LOL

Absolutely Beautiful Backache!!! Please Leave the Eyes the Way They are I Think it's Perfect, and You are going to Make My Father a Very Happy Man!! He has No Idea what He's Getting, He Loved the Other Picture and wanted to Take it, but I wouldn't give it to Him!! He is Going to be in Heaven, and My Mom will be Proud to Hang such a Great Piece in the Living Room!! Ellen isn't Home, but I'll Show Her Later Tonight, I know She'll Love it also!! You are more than welcome. If it can take your Dads mind off of his illness even for a few minutes it will certainly make me happy. Actually I see several small things that I need to change, like the hair behind his ear, I got carried away and accidently painted over it, sorry about that......It will be on it's way as soon as he dries.

backache... you are a very talented painter... your painting comes from your heart, whereas mine comes from my knowledge of technique. Just yesterday I was asked to visit the art academy here in Roseburg. Can you believe that a Town no larger than Roseburg has an art academy. Many famous high end painters travel here to give classes. I have been asked to do some art classes for a kids camp this summer... I don't know how many or anything as of yet so I am without information... however, the most important piece of information is that the manager of the art academy asked me to take a class with a man who is coming here from southern california... I don't even remember his name... Charles something... she looked at my paintings and said you are technique...so she nailed me... and then she said... look out in to that field... how many colors do you see.... I came up with about 14-15 in a tree.... she said to me, now it is time to learn how to paint without seeing... I almost said, and how do I do that, but years of experience taught me to play dumb and say you are absolutely right, then she enrolled me in a couple of field classes .... they are very cheap here, only $6 dollars a class.... So I will have to show you what that is like once I complete the class and bring it home...it stays on the wall in the art academy for about 2 months..and my first class is 2 weeks away... so I won't bring it home until after I return from NJ the end of April. So what do you think.... values... can I actually paint a tree from color versus demensions.... and with a 3" brush only.... I think I am about to experience a whole new world in art... maybe I will learn some of what you already know.... always share your art backache, it is such an up lift to me and I am sure to others... I love to watch it come a live..thanks Red

oh....also next time you are painting and the paint brushes are 3 in one hand, two in y our mouth, and 4 in the other hand...ask Dave to take a picture to share for all to see..it is remarkable your control over all those brushes at one time... I am serious here... smiling..talent you have talent. Red

Red, Well you can take a lot of credit for getting me to paint again. I hadn't drawn or painted in about 20 years because my life was so busy and I never took the time to do something I love so much. After I was injured and came on here and saw your wonderful art work you, with a little push, got me back into painting. I will always appreciate that. I know you will do great in your classes. just use your imagination and beautiful things will pop up on the canvas. I can't wait to see your work. Put a brush between your teeth and go for it.
