Hello, You did post some good info about yourself, but there is a critical bit of info we need to give specific info to you. That is your state. Worker compensation is state specific.

Other than that, can you work or does your dr. say no???

Sorry, I had that in there but must have erased when I revamped my rambling. I live In Mn, I was employed at Centerpoint Energy as a HVAC Installer, I put in Furnaces, A/c Units and other Comfort equip, I had worked there for 8 yrs at the time of my Injury. I was a member of IBEW 292 Union which didn't seem to help either, I have an attorney for my W/c case and a diffarent attorney handeling my SSD case I have bben turned down 3 times for ssd, MY attorney says its because of my age , Which is 40, My doctor says no work for now, I have another appointment with my Doctor on FEb 9th and my first appt at the courage center for Pain MGMT and help with my issues.

I would advise you to check out the vocational rehabilitation benefit and get started as soon as possible. VR can provide a way out of a downward spiral that significant injury can put you in/

RE: New to forums and getting my ass handed to me!
Thanks all, Its kinda Crazy to think there is a Forums dedicated to peopls havinto deal with the W/C system. I talk to people here and there at differant appointments. I sure thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I have a QRC worker who has been great, He seems to be the only one who is really on my side. I'm having trouble thinking in that direction right now when I can't sit for more that 30 min and stand for more than 20 min and I still need help some days getting dressed. I'm really glad I found this forums, for al going through this know, Its tough to talk about what were going through with out sounding like your winning all the time. I still have a hard time grasping the fact That I got Injured on the job, having all the surgeries, procedures, and all the BS and I got terminated from my Job even while being in the Union and having an attorney. I have had to file the paper work about losing my house, I went from close to $4000 a month down to less than $2300 coming in from Cigna LTD. Ok I'll stop winning now, I get heated up when I talk about this crap. TODD

We don't look at it as whinning at all. Venting is a good word. LOL... Your just going through the things that many here have gone through, and some just starting to go through. So, it comes easy for us to talk about this. Your correct about the Union. As the Union can help in other ways, but can do little for a worker on a work comp issue, or injury. Your Union can help though when you get stuck with some unpaid bills and such. When you get a Award letter for SSDI, make sure to bring it to the Union, and then you can file for disability options, and in some cases Early retirement disability. Apply for a Job with the Union, there are jobs there for disabled people. Keep up with your Union out of work status, don't let that get behind.
