RE: Daves pig, don't look if dead things upset you.
Still, The one guy walked through a gate and Dave said as soon as the gate closed behind him they heard this terrible crash. Here the guy never saw the hog coming and it almost got him. Their tusks are razor sharp as you know and they can put a hurting on you if they get the chance. Last year Lee almost got it and just got away in the nick of time. They can hunt them, but I will stay home where I belong......

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

When My Friend was Overseas, I Believe in Crete, They were building an Airstrip, and He Used to Have to Jump from the Truck onto His D-9, because the Pigs were waiting for Them!! Then they would get so Mad They would Keep Ramming the Tracks until Their Heads Bled!! Those were Probably not Feral and Wild Boars, but They have the Same Disposition!! The MP's would come and Shoot Them from Time to Time, but There was always More around to try and get Him!!Wink

Feral hogs are a big, big problem in Tx. They're a cross with Russian Boars and they do get huge. They can do serious harm if you can't get away from them, as stated before they're not afraid of humans. Let two or three of them get you down and you probably won't walk away.

Jayne, That is the reason we think the last one he got was so strong. The meat when you cooked it smelled so strong we hated it. This one was castrated and it is delicious.

Nice Pig there Dave... Now I've been told to hang the Pig upside down, and bleed them out. And this will help the taste. If they have been skined, it's said while bleeding them out, to salt them using Coarse salt and rubbing it in. I also known people to inject them while hanging with seasons and salt mixture. Many I know, then cut them up, and smoke them. Then freeze em. Anything that is to get tossed, then gets buried for worm farming... So they have worms for fishing come Spring time... Makes for some nice big juicy worms too.... So, now Dave needs to start a worm farm. Worms can be sold too for big profits....

Ummmm Yummmm Pickled Pigs Feet....

I knew you reminded me of my dad BBBB, He loved pickled Pigs Feet, and we had beds of nighcrawlers in out basement, In Buss Bedding and coffee grounds, so we always had bait......... Dad was a hunter, Deer, Bear, Duck, Goose ,Pheasant, wild turkey, Squirrel and Rabbit. We kids used to fight over who was getting the tails. LOL
I remember many a time a Deer or Bear etc hanging in the garage. I guess that is why I like eating all wild game.....
