Bad Boy Bad Boy Wrote:Osgood Schlatter's is a childhood problem, or you had when a child.

What you may be suffering from are the aftereffects of Osgood-Schlatter Disease. OSD can only occur (by definition) while growth is still occurring, and the bones are still porous and vascular. You yourself may, or may not be still actively growing bone length. However the bone-spur-like "bump" formed on the tibial tuberosity during the course of the disease can impinge on nerves and other tissues long after growth has been completed.

Hi,

I'm new also and wanted to let you know that they tried to pin my fractured vertebrae on a previous back surgery/fusion in a different area. You really need to be very careful what to say to any doctor. It seems everyone has very selective hearing. I managed to fight that my injury had nothing to do with previous surgery and seem to be ok.
I've also seen written docs come through that have many errors on them.
If you haven't been treated for your knee in the past, how can they say that? Have you been treated for it or was it just something that bothered you from time to time? I hadn't been treated for my back in over 35 years when they did the surgery and I fought it that way.

It seems we are all being "screwed" as you said. Hang in there.
M

RE: They might be trying to screw me.
Sunshine, it's interesting to talk to someone who has it too. Apparently I have an adult form that I've had since I was a kid-it seems that adult cases are rare, as I cannot find out much about them or what to do. Osgood can make your knees give out? Did you have any kind of pain in your knee? I am curious as to what this feels like. I'm wondering if my incident has made this worse. The extra piece of bone is broken off and kind of floating and there is no way to tell when it happened . How did it prevent you from track? Was it pain? Did you have range of motion problems? Forgive me if I am asking too many questions, and thanks Smile

Bad Boy, thanks for your information about O.S. I know there is something wrong with my tibial tubercle...maybe this fall has done something to the nerves. If only I knew what nerve pain actually feels like. I'm 27, so I think it would be impossible for my bones to keep growing, but I guess you never know.
