Bodybuilder

I believe the swelling of the knee & entire leg may be a factor in you getting the knee replacement, it was with me.

I still have swelling of the knee & entire leg 18 months after surgery, not as bad as it was before surgery.

RE: Too young????
I'm not too sure if I can wait until March to see this new guy. Pain is too bad, I can hardly stand it.

RE: Too young????
BB is it the weather making it worse or is it just getting worse? The weather has me hurting so bad today and nothing I have will touch it....My daughter is doing her best to try and rub out the pain but nothing is working

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

BB

If you need to then go to ER, give them the name of your attorney & insurance company.

I am staying inside today. My knee impant is made of tituam, and absorbes the cold weather. The knee become very painful in this weather.

RE: Too young????
Jayne remember when you saw me in Tulsa Dec 07?
I was able to bear wieight on the knee and get around with the cane.

By March 08 I was seldom getting out of the house because the pain was so bad and the knee was so unstable. That is how fast the progression was of my knee.

My attorney saw a change in my condition in April 08 and made the phone call getting me to a doctor on the knee. Surgery was scheduled after attending that appointment.

RE: Too young????
Bummer a heat wrap around that knee will help keep the metal from absorbing the cold that will help. Muscle creams like capasin are also good, they give off heat. I'll go to the ER only if I have to. Not planning on going anywhere this weekend unless I have to.

RE: Too young????
Haven't tried the wrap yet.

I do have a velcro knee brace I can attach a warming pad to.

I purchased the cream when Bad Boy suggested it, caused a rash so I'm afraid to use it again.

RE: Too young????
It can cause a skin rash for some. I use it on and off, rotate creams. Tiger balm now sells a cream that heats, it's cheaper than the gel.

I do use tiger balm, I like the patches best.

I use them on the neck along with the tens unit.
