Prayers for State Troopers family
Please pray for the family of slain PA State Trooper. Paul Richey. He was ambushed and killed while responding to a domestic dispute. I know many Troopers and they say one of the most dangerous calls to answer is when it involves domestic disputes. He was 40 years old and a trooper for 16 years.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

Backache..this is terrible... did it happen in your area. We didn't hear the reports on the west coast. I am so sorry for his family and many prayers are going up for them at this time of need. Thanks for sharing. Red

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

RE: Prayers for State Troopers family
Hi Red, thank you for the post. I didn't hear anything either. Did he have family? I will put him right at the top in my prayers. Thank you for letting us know.

Something a bit differently related but still I do it. When ever I hear a siren I always send up a prayer. I heard a speaker once say that she had driven by an ambulance and sent up a prayer for whoever was in there. Later it was in the news that the woman who was seriously injury felt the presence of God right there, holding her through. She was sure that was why she didn't die right then. The two women eventually got together...I don't remember how that happened. But that is why I now always send up a prayer.

RE: Prayers for State Troopers family
Red The man shot and killed his wife then he ambushed the trooper, he then shot himself. I have a friend who is married to a trooper and she says there is never a day that goes by when he leaves for work that she doesn't think he may not make it home again.
Bag Yes he had a family. The other troopers said that he volunteered to take this call.
I always say a prayer when I see a marker where someone has died along the interstate. I have to say many prayers on the way from here to Ohio when we go and see the grand kids. I also say a prayer when I hear a siren or see a wreck. You never know it could be one of us someday and I hope someone does the same for me.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

RE: Prayers for State Troopers family
backache i also am sending prayers for the family.

Eight members of my family are in different brances of law enforcement.

My niece, (the one that had the stroke 2 months ago) works for the sheriff department in a near by county.

Each years the sheriff department holds an awards presentation.

The main award is a very high honor for an officer to receive.

My niece had been contacted that she had been nominated for this award and her presence had been requested at the awards presentation.

My niece won the award!

Kris is a single mother of 3, and is recovering from a stroke, due to her health she is only able to work part time.

The sheriff department has been great in providing any needed accomodations to help her continue working in her period of recovery.

Prayers going out for his family, This is a terrible waste of life.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
It's about learning to dance in the rain.

RE: Prayers for State Troopers family
I just found out the trooper had 2 children, a 6 and a 9 year old. Apparently the wife of the attacker didn't show up for work and her coworkers knew there was domestic problems so they called the State police. They lived at the end of a tree lined road and the shooter waited for this trooper to show up and shot him through the neck, knowing he would be wearing a bullet proof vest. It is such a shame since this trooper was only there to help this woman.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!
