She would file as Head of Household which I have done a few times. Don't remember getting any larger a tax return and if I did it was minimal.

Cap, if I remember correctly, it had something to do with the $1,500.00 Rule. And if you don't have enough Deductions to go along with it, the amount benefit would not be there. But, again this can and might cause problems in a year or so later, if one does the Income average thingy, when they re-do your taxes over a course of past years. But, like I said too, I had to pay a Preparer to do this, and only to find out it was a waste of money and time.
