RE: I'm FREE
Backache...I am very happy for you... you have a new path to travel now..you will never stop missing nursing I believe but you will find things to fill the vacant spot you will feel from time to time... good luck to you Red

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

RE: I'm FREE
Red that is what I hate the most, not being a nurse is like telling me they are amputating a body part, since nursing is a part of me. Bronc I feel so free and that alone is worth it. I have always done what I wanted in this life, my Mom use to tell me I marched to the beat of my own drummer. I felt overwhelmed for the first time in my life being on WC. They can now kiss it where the sun don't shine.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

Backache,
I'm so happy for you. I will never forget how much better I felt mentally when I settled. They have a way of causing so much stress and anguish in a persons life that it should be illegal. I hope everything goes well for you and Dave. I still talk about visiting the castle and how great it was.
Take care
Love, Vickie

RE: I'm FREE
Congratulations Backache,
So glad that you are finally out of Work Comp H*ll. Hope that you got everything that you wanted. Do you mind disclosing if you had to get a Medicare SetAside?

Also, i've been reading alot of the old posts and I believe that i've read
that Jayne says that she opt for the lump sum....Jayne, can you please tell me how you were able to do that? As my case will be ending soon but i've been told that i'll have to have a Medicare SetAside because I am already receiving SSD.

Thank You Both In Advance!

RE: I'm FREE
I cannot give you any advice about MSA as I was not on SSDI when I settled...when I settled it was for a lump sun otherwise you just collect PPD till it is all gone...

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile
