I'm FREE

This took me so long to tell you, because it is almost like a dream.
I SETTLED TODAY.
Well I guess it was actually yesterday, since it is 3 AM. I am up because my back is in so much pain, but my heart no longer is. We had to get up at 5AM to get to the hearing. My lawyer explained and had me sign everything. We went in front of the judge and after a few questions, he said, "This will be approved and sent out today". It didn't take ten minutes. I am so happy and relieved that I am out of the system. Now I will begin to rebuild my life. It won't be the same as it was, but I have come to terms with that. I wanted to Thank all of you for helping me get through this terrible ordeal, I couldn't have done it on my own. I was so lucky to find this forum and all of you. Thank you, Marcy

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

This is such great News. I wish you well, and hope you spend wisely. Keep some for a rainy day. I can't wait for my day to come, yet we have progressed, it sure is slow.

RE: I'm FREE
Thanks everyone. BX4 I am going to put some of it in savings. One of the main reasons I settled was so we didn't have to keep selling the things we worked so hard for to make up the difference in my pay from what I was getting from WC. When Dave had to take an early retirement, we planned on me working as a nurse until we could manage to put enough away so I could retire and we could travel. Unfortunately we needed what I was making to do this and we never expected Dave having to have 4 surgeries in 4 years or me being injured. We ended up selling our dump truck with plow, Kabota backhoe with trailer and Daves 63 Impala that he was going to refurbish. We had to sell these things to even out our income and make up the difference. Unfortunately with the economy going to heck in a handbasket we would never get out of the castle what we have in it in todays market in this area, so we had to hang on to it. The things other than the Chevy we sold were things we needed. It wasn't like a piece of jewelry or an antique that we were willing to part with, where we live you need a plow and the backhoe was used on a regular basis. I am going to try and find something to do at home so I can earn some extra money. I'm up half the night anyway so I could work when my back allows. I hope all of you feel the freedom that I now feel some day. The pain is still there, but we are fighters and I know everything will work out sooner or later. Marcy

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!!

A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless!
