RE: How did you bring in the New Year
I met my husband 32 years ago on New Year's eve. We celebrated in quiet last night and today. A nice lunch, nice drive, good wine, arm in arm. That's all that matters, who you spend time with now and later

RE: How did you bring in the New Year
So everyone had a wonderful bringing in of the New Year. ... That's terrific. Chris ...you sound wonderful..seems you are doing better and I am so happy for you. Jayne....I like slot machines and poker machines but tend to stay away except maybe once a year. Ialso don't have it in me to keep feeding it 20's and nothing comingout. Although I put a $20 in ONCE and won $1400 which was great.
I don't remember anything from the party at ADMIN's either......must have eaten too many of Grandma's yummy rumballs.
God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |

RE: How did you bring in the New Year
Never have been a drinker, If I can taste alcohol (rum,Whisky etc) I don't want it. LOL I do like Baily's, ice cream drinks( grasshoppers) and sweet drinks. One is my limit...... Once or twice a year.
RNvic and I shared a small bottle (very small) of California wine she brought to my son's this fall. It was very good. Decaf coffee, unsweetened iced tea,Cranberry juice,7-up, ginger ale are my drinks of choice. Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain. |

RE: How did you bring in the New Year
Tuffy... I am with you on the drinking..if I can taste the alcohol I don't want it. I like the same types that you like and 1-2 a year or less is good enough for me. Until 2005, I always worked new years eve, day, christmas eve and day to give as many of my nurses off as possible... it was my gift to them... I sure do miss it as I know many of you do also..
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. |

RE: How did you bring in the New Year
I spent the day preparing Chinese dishes along with my neighbour, and then we got out a bottle of bubbly, and a white wine and set up the table at her house.....all sat down and enjoyed the friendship and watching the snow come down out the french doors. Really nice. We made it to about 11:30 PM, and then I headed off home and listened to the fire works doing their best at trying to keep me awake. Then I gave up, poured another glass of wine...sat and watched Animal Cops...which was recorded from several days ago. I don't think that I actually went to sleep until about 4 AM. Spent New Years day reading and listening to music. Nice. I need a honey though, I am sure I would enjoy it much better. Maybe the New Year will be generous to me. My fortune cookie said I would travel to a place far, far away...so maybe I am heading back to England????

RE: How did you bring in the New Year
Tuffy and Red...I don't drink at all anymore. Had a really bad reaction to a glass of wine about 2 years ago and fell much safer not touching it at all.....It was either Cymbalta or Neurontin because I had just started both. Used to love a good happy hour with old friends, a couple of beers and a few smokes......now I'm happy with a good cup of tea and my flannel pj's.
![]() Bag...I'm going to start praying for a companion for you. God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....
