major depression.....big time.......I hate the winter I am stuck inside in pain....And for some reason we are in a strange weather pattern all year so much rain all spring,summer and fall we are wet wet wet...streams lakes and such are full to overflowing and now snow and ice......puddles in the yard are mini icerinks....its so cold here I dont know how you all in the north take it....I need sun and warmth and green grass

We dress warm, we wear winter boots, and gloves. ROTFLMAO

Might be 20 or so degree's and I just came from outside just wearing a T-shirt...

Jayne you 've been through alot....might make this year a little worse. Sorry you're feelling blue.....I'm with badboy....it's about 10 degrees here with winds at 30-50 mph. COld but if you have a coat, gloves, scarf on it's tolerable. I like the cold better than the heat although my body doesn't. Hope you feel better soon.

Jayne we sure hope you start feeling better. This time of year is so hard to deal with and after the holidays is a bad time as well. But look forward to the new year and we will pray it will be better for all of us

You know...once you reach a certain age and have had losses...this time of the year is rough for alot of people.

Jayne...my oldest daughter also suffers from whatever that depression is that comes from lack of sunlight. She started taking a good dose of Vitamin D and swears after a month or so she feels better. She loves the sunlight and when it's rainy and dark early she gets really down.

Christmas has for some reason always been a bad depression time for me even as a child.....this year is even worse with the wet cold weather and Daddys death knowing my sister is also gonna die soon and Mom I can watch he folding in on her self daily....I am having a hard time dealing with all the changes this year....

Easy to understand....too much all at one time. Try to take one feeling, one heartache, one day at a time. Before you know it, won't be easy, but years will have gone by.

Jayne have you ever heard of SAD (sesonal affect disorder)? It might sound crazy but the treatment is sitting under a sun lamp, and adding vitamin D to your diet. This disorder affects a lot of people who don't get enough sunlight in the winter months. By the way it sounds you are an outside person and seem to get blue in the winter. My sister is like that so she goes and tans a couple of times a week. I know it sounds stupid but it does help with the winter blahs for her.
