cookies and candy
I tried several new recipes this year these 2 were stand outs both for time, ease and taste....
CHURCH WINDOWS
1 stick butter
1 pkg(12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup shelled walnuts
1 pkg (10 1/2 ounce) multicolored mini marshmellows
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut,divided
in a large saucepan, melt the butter and choco chips over a low heat stirring constantly..Remove the sausepan from heat and add the nuts and vanilla cool the mixture for about 15 min, until cooled but not to the point od hardening...fold in the marshmellows and stir till well coated.spoon half the mixture lenghtwise down the center of a 18 inch piece of wax paper shape into a 12 inch by 2 inch logand place at one edge of the wax paper sprinkle 1/2 the coconut over the remainder of the wax paperroll the log over the coconut, evenly coating the outside of the entire log.Wrap the log tightly in the waxed paper, folding the end sungly.Repeat with the other half of mixture chill until firm at least 2 hours,or overnite.unwrap each log and cut into 1/2 inch slices

this makes a pretty candy that taste good

I have ate this cookie until I was sick it is so good we made 2 batches yesterday and made 2 more today
Easy macaroons
1 can(14 oz) sweetned condensed milk
1 pkg (7oz) sweetned flaked coconut
2 cups fresh bread crumbs (about 4 slices)
about 18 maraschino cherries drained and cut in half
preheat oven to 350 coat 2 cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray(I prefer parchment paper)
in a large bowl combine all ing. except cherries, mix well.Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto cookie sheets press half a cherry cut side down into the center of each cookie.Bake for 10 to 12 min.or until the edges are golden.allow to cool completely before serving.
These are 2 easy recipes and good tasting as well enjoy

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile
