The Spirit of Giving
This time of year we hear many stories about "the spirit of giving"
and people receiving help.

Yesterday I went with my niece to the dentist. My niece is 32 yrs and had a stroke 2 months ago while on duty at the sherriff department. She was transfered my ambulance to the hospital where she remained in NICU for most the week.

My niece is home and struggles to survive, she used up her sick leave the first few weeks she was off work, with no money coming in she is unable to pay the bills. Family is trying to help out when they can to keep a roof over my nieces head.

My niece is a single parent with 3 children in the home.

Yesterday I took my niece to the dentist due to a toothache and we learned her teeth are very bad and likely contirbuted to her stroke.

The dentist learned about my nieces's struggles and is making her his project for 2010 thru a non-profit and will be fixing her teeth at no charge.

And yesterday we learned the sherrriff department has been taking a collection to help my niece & her children.

RE: The Spirit of Giving
Bummer what a nice story. Yesterday on our local news was a group of military men and women who adopted a family. Mother of 3, I didn't hear where the husband was, but those children's eyes lit up when the soldiers walked in. The stayed and played with the kids..... I felt so good watching this and wished someone could be doing this for each and every soldier. We adopted a family last year, but just haven't been well enough to do the work this year.

I am so happy for your niece. I hope all goes well with her dental work.

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

Bummer- I know this warmed your heart to know that help is there for your niece and her children. Extra prayers going up for your niece that she will recover from her stroke.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms
