Today is hard
Today I have been calling all Daddys creditors and ICs I am so tired of hearing "We are sorry for your loss"the last one got a dose of the Red head in me and I had to apoligze....I told her "I didnt lose my Daddy he died I know where hes at...he is in a UPS truck coming from Van buren to Poteau after his creamation...I took good care of him and didnt misplace him anywhere......" she was very quiet and I felt about 1 inch tall.... I did apoligze.......I miss him so much today and am tired of calling all these people to let them know he is dead...I hate that word

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: Today is hard
Jayne, I know what your doing, and know how this is, as I had helped do this for my wife's mother. To only find out, after all the calls, they still need and want a copy of the Death Certificate. So, what I said to do, was lets call the Credit Card companies, to shut the cards down. All the others got a short letter I typed up, with a copy of her Death Certificate. That had seemed to work best. And thank God we are done with that part.

Jayne, I know it's Hard, but a Necessary Evil. I Used the Word Passed, and told Them what I needed from Them. If it's getting to You, Maybe Only do a Couple a Day, I Personally did Them all at Once so I wouldn't have to Deal with it Later. And as BX4 said, They will Probably want a Death Certificate. My Heart Aches for You My Friend, but You're Strong, and You'll get Through!!Wink

RE: Today is hard
I also don't like died/dead. I use passed as Limbo does. They pass into a better life in my eyes. Jayne...I had to do all this for my mother when my sister died. It's very hard. You're exhausted to begin with and then have to talk to people you don't want to talk to. I did alot as Badboy suggested. Short note and Death certificate.

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

RE: Today is hard
Keep your chin up girl. You have been through a great deal and if you lose your temper now and then that is OK. I remember a story my Mom use to tell after my Dad passed away. He was a welder so there were many companies who tried to contact him after he died to sell him welding equipment. She said that one co. who sold gas for the tanks was very persistant and even years after Dad died they would still write and try to get him to buy their products. Mom wrote back time after time, but they kept writing to Dad. Finally Mom wrote them this letter.

The person to whom this letter was sent,
four years ago his life was spent,
but just for the giggles,
and just for the laughs,
what the he// would he do with your gas?
Needless to say they finally quit writing.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

RE: Today is hard
Jayne- take a couple days to rest and recollect brfore taking on the cerdit companies, then make sure you check the bills for any that have insurance on them, the companies will not tell you that there is insurance that will pay off the bill so look at the bills. Also chcek with your fathers bank as there could be policy on he bank accounts.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms

RE: Today is hard
Jayne everyday will be different for awhile. Some Ok and some bad. Give yourself a break and relax. There will be more times that you'll fall apart and you'll need to be ready. God bless. Prayers are still with you.
