RE: snow is coming down
calling for more snow but for now the sun is shining, wind is blowing and some drifting. Hopefully it will hold off until I get home from the hospital.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms

Tuffy Wrote:Cap, Admin was flying out on the 17th to his parents in Farmington, For his fathers 90th birthday. Sithie said the weather was bad.....

We are ok here on the Il/Wi line, snow on the ground but the roads are clear, so far no new snow. Everyone in the path of that storm, stay safe..

Sorry Tuffy, just saw this post and wanted to respond. The weather while I was in New Mexico was really good. Cold but completely clear. I flew home to Sarasota the day before it got bad in the four corners area. We really lucked out.

The whole family was together for the first time in ages, so we had our "Christmas Dinner" a few days early. My fathers computer was having some problems, and I completely hosed it while trying to help, so we got to spend about 6 hours in his office over the course of two days while I fixed the problem. It was great. We haven't had a chance to talk like that in years! I think he enjoyed it, as my mothers progressing alzheimers is leaving him lonely at times.

My father is an amazing man. 90 years old and still owns two businesses, and he is the primary caretaker for my mother. Very sharp man - of course HIS father got remarried when he was 96. Good genes in the family!

Thanks Admin for the update, Your Father sounds like a very wonderfull, careing man, He has alot on his shoulders. Probably what keeps him young, that and the fact that longevity runs in your family. Your grandfather remarried at 96 ? WOW

My mom turns 90 this January, My grandmother lived to 103.

RE: snow is coming down
Snowing again this morning. Sure am getting tired of snow ever other day. Expecting 2-3 inches on top of the 5 inches we got over the week-end, chill factor this morning is 18 and to drop in the next couple days to below 0.

Bad Boy- you will get plenty of work out with that new snow machine this winter if all this snow continues.
Bronco- get the plow out and plan on plowing by morning.
Tuffy no shoveling, stay in and stay warm.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms

RE: snow is coming down
We're calling for Rain/snow/sleet from Thursday night through Sat. THursday and Friday will be in the low 40's ...looks like rain. We have a cousing party to go to on Sat night and I think that's the worst of it. I hope not. We haven't been out in soooooooo long and really enjoy Bill's cousins when we all get together.

God is never late.

RE: snow is coming down
Jayne, It becomes a way of life here in the north woods. Lots of winter sports skiing, snowshoe baseball, Ice fishing, slideing, snowmobilling. Much much more but you get the point... We live right off the main trail system here for snowmobilling, in a days time we probably have 300 to 500 different riders go by.. Just north of us in eagle river they hold the worlds championship snowmobile races. During that time the number of snowmobilers increase by 500 to 1500 that go by our house... Winter brings just as much income to our small towns as do the summer.... I for one am sick of the long cold winters and would move south in a heart beat-- wife permitting..

RE: snow is coming down
We have a fresh covering 1 inch, and it has stoped for now.

I just filled my bird feeder with new seed and suet, The little one's are having a hard time finding food with all this snow on the ground.
Please remember our feathered friends, and some of the furry one's to.
