pain management question??
#31
I didn't see the avatar so have nothing to say about it. We are all free to come here to vent BUT I think there is a difference between venting about personal problems and venting about another's behaviour or personality... I think left to ADMIN is better. JMO. Smile

Well said CAP! And here I am with my rendered opinion....

I did not see inpainokla's "avatar". From the description I read here I would not want to, and yes, it would have been removed (I'm not very fond of the current one, either). We're a family site. Period.

Freebird, you are correct that this is a free country and we have the right to free speech. We also have a right to urinate. That does not mean I would let you urinate on my living room carpet, simply because you believe you can. Consider this forum my house, and all those in it my welcome guests. Act your age and behave accordingly. Thank you.

My primary doctor has me on loratab, neurotin, flexiral, tigerbalm pain patches, and my tens unit.

Some days nothing helps with the pain, and some days I can tolerate the pain.

If I had my way I would toss the meds, but my family deserves to have a wife & mother that is not a *itch due to the pain.

This weekend was the norm for me, Friday night was the family Christmas dinner and I was on my feet more then normal and walking on concrete, and I spent much of Saturday in bed but to back pain & migraines.

If you want a erotic site, there are places for you to go with your moral compass.

I know I will regret this but may I ask why I am singled out? I made my mistakes but I was called out personally myself by others. Why do they get a pass?

I was not the only poster who ask that that Aviator be removed. I apologize for my moral compass.

My age and maturity is fine. I feel that comment was over the top. I have not tried to piss on anyone's site.

I apologize for my actions.

If you remove me over this, so be it.

Cycler, lets change the subject and stop hijacking this thread.....

Freebird, you clearly do not understand. You're just mean. Plain and simple.

ok.

SO BK, WHy is your Dr. choosing to use such an impairing and short acting medication such as Lortab when so many more effective long acting AND non-impairing opiate choices are available to him ?

Pain clinics are about the worst thing that has happened in medicine in decades and the statistics on outcomes and costs prove it.

Cycler, I have a Question so I am Sure We are Talking about the Same Things. You Refer to Pain Clinics, and I See a Pain Management Specialist in a Private Dr.Setting. They can Do Injections Under the Fluoroscope, and not Only do They have the Latest FCE Equipment, Many Defense Attorney's Send Patients There for Testing. Tens Units, Acupuncture, Aqua Therapy are all Available when They can Help, and Narcotics are Used on the Ones that the Other Treatments won't Work for. Now just Less than a Mile from My Home is a Methadone Clinic, and it has not Carried a Good Name, and has been under the Microscope a lot Lately. I have always Felt Comfortable and Safe with My PM Dr., and They have tried Many Things for Me before the Heavy Chronic Pain Narcotics were Prescribed. I may be looking at This Differently as You, or Maybe the Wording is the Same, Pain Clinic, and Pain Management Specialist such as Mine. I am just a bit Confused as to which You are Calling Pain Clinics. Mine was so Careful with Me that They sent Me to another PM Specialist in Pittsburgh, supposedly One of the Best on the East Coast, for a Second Opinion on the Care They were giving Me. Thanks in Advance for Your Answer!!Wink

I find this very interesting Cycler when you talk of better PM. I take Neurontin and Cymbalta , see a Chiro once a month. For days I can't take I have only been prescribed Lortab which does nothing for my pain and Tylenol 3 whiich believe it or not works better. I should tell you that when I was injured it was 5 different body parts. Cervical, shoulder, lumbar, knee and ankle so everyday my back and shoulder hurt and some days it's all 5. Have yet to take a narcotic that kills the pain.

My husband has just been put on MS contin with Percocet for break through. It's only been a week but I think it's helping. He has tried Fentynal, Oxicontin, Dilaudid with no success. We are hoping this combo works.

Limbo...You and I have been typing at the same time all morning.
