what now???
My little sister was injuried at work four times in the last couple weeks and tried to keep working. Until the pain and swelling in her knee became to much to go to work. She is a nurse and had a patient fall on her the last time and she hit her knee on the bed and is now off work. At first her boss tried putting her on light duty, well that didn't work she got hurt again. After going to the wc doctor she is now going to have a told knee replacement. The hospital tried to not pay for it as she had knee surgery for a torn mensces last June, but the wc doctor said she was released in July when she went back to work and this is a new injury and the hospital will have to cover it and pay her TTD benefits while she is off. Sometimes things are done in a timely manner, now to get her surgery behind her and then the recovery.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Good thing the Doc supported this as a work injury.

I had the meniscus tear surgery. Sorry to say, it didn't help all that much as time passed on. I would say less then a year. Meniscus tear surgery, is based on age recovery, if younger it heals up, if older it doesn't.

Knee Replacement, get her to look into the new types now made just for women also. Like BIOMET...Cool

RE: what now???
Hi,

I also had meniscus surgery, but mine worked well, thankfully!
I was also fortunate, like her, that her doctor stuck up for her, and scheduled appropriate surgeries. Good luck to her with the new knee!
