Yes, so true, for when I drank that stuff, I never hurted. I quite, and now I hurt all the time. Tongue

It's also said, Drink a bottle of Jim Beam, and then rub the sore spot with the empty bottle... LOL

It's a menthol gel so that when the menthol is evaporating it produces a cooling effect on the skin which reduces pain at the skin level. Ice does the same directly. The lidocaine may add some mild anesthetic effect of the skin but not below. Good luck wit it.
