RE: Patience is the Key!
Still...Thank you for writing and posting this...it was just what I needed. Have had so much going on in my life....and PATIENCE is just what I need. My mind and emotions are so messed up...and just dealing with the pain can just be more then one can deal with. I was so good to be one to tell myself and others to take one day at a time...and ask God for guidance...but lately so much is going on...I have had trouble with that...but then I set here and read your post...and it was just so true....So thank you...I needed it.

Amen Still...It took 7 years for my settlement, I never thought the end would be near and I am so grateful when it came. You are absolutely right about digging your heels in, I dug my heels in for the long haul, I think I left marks along the way...
I have read on this board so many people who are just starting the journey of this mess wondering how long I it will take and I feel for them.
Thank you for your post.

RE: Patience is the Key!
I realise that my journey is just beginning....
I know that patience is the only thing that will help get throug this at this point. I just can't help but feel overwhelmed by some of the things being thrown at me.
I have explained to my wife that we can't stress over the bills too much at this point. The most important ones, yes, Rent, car payments, Utilities, and insurance. Everything else can slide, even to collections if it comes down to it. We WILL be able to crawl out of it eventually... even filing for a debt conslidation type proram that the credit union offers free to it's members.
I love my wife, right now she is running in circles about bills and it's stressing me out.... But I'm trying to be patient...

And yes patients are the key to a doctor's fancy car! Tongue

Dip, Hang in There! the Road may be rocky, but with Patience you will succeed! Just try and reassure your Wife that some of the Bills may slip, there's no way around it, but you'll try your best to get them Paid. She's scared and Her Future is now unsure also, and she needs your comfort. A Workplace Injury changes the Lives of the whole Family, and everyone needs to adjust. Just be there for Her!!Wink

RE: Patience is the Key!
Thank You Rholmes!! I'm so glad I wrote this, it warms my Heart to see it's accepted with such attention! I just felt that even though I'm only three Years in, others just starting out may be able to benefit by understanding this roller coaster of w/c Hell! The biggest problem for me was dealing with the feeling of helplessness, and the varying range of Emotions I went through! I spent so much time feeling anger and denial, I wasn't paying attention to what really mattered, My Family, and fighting for what is rightfully mine!! I'm so glad I could Help, I've been given so much help here it feels good to give back!!!Smile
