Dave, I and the kids usually watch The Christmas Story 3 or 4 times over the Holidays. We know every word, but we still sit there and crack up over it.....LOL
GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT! |

RE: Let's All Be Cautious Of The Unexpected Visitor This Holiday Season!!
My wife said no tree this year going up. With her mom passing and everything else that went on this last 2 months, she can't bring herself to putting one up, without mom being around. I wont argue the fact with her. It's fine with me too.
My oldest daughter is being a pain this year again also. She is the present counter, you know, saying I me and the wife spent this much on this one, and that one, and cheated her or her kids out of a dollar or 2. I told her, one more word about it, there will be no presents this year, and everyone will be told to thank her. She hasn't said another word since. I told her, I expect it to remain that way for here on out also. My other 2 kids said, all they would like is dinner somewhere, and family to just be together. RE: Let's All Be Cautious Of The Unexpected Visitor This Holiday Season!!
I am doing my best to keep a smile on my face for my 3 year old grand daughter but it's fake as it can be. I could care less about the holidays now. It's been a month since the BF thing and losing my house. That on top of Randy's passing. I know many are going through alot...Jayne has way more on her plate than anyone should ever have.
I can't stand Christams music, movies, etc. I sent my son and DIL out with my debit card over the weekend to buy a small artifical tree so my GD would have it but I am only doing it for her. I don't know if I can even stand getting up Christmas morning, I am so sad, angry, bitter, etc. I feel like a zombie just going through the motions. I really wish a semi would just run over me and get it over with most of the time. Please click the link below to help provide food for homeless animals. Monster its true I do have alot going on right now.....but my honey knows how to bring a smile to my face and altho it will hurt when they are gone I wouldnt trade the time I had with them for anything...Today for the first time since we were kids my sister and I prayed together..... for so long I have feared for her salvation and now I have hope......and tonight Bill brought me Glory...lol get your minds out of the gutter she is a 4 month old lemon Basset hound and she is beautiful and will bring Mona peace in her last months on earth and then I will love her for the rest of her life....so life goes on.........you are in pain now my friend Jeri but would you give up the love and memories of Randy or Dominic to not feel the hurt now? You only hurt cuz you love them so.......and I know Randy loved you because I could see it in his eyes.....so embrace the pain and know its there because you loved and were loved.....And if that truck got you I...we all would feel the pain of losing you...I pray for you girl every night........
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: Let's All Be Cautious Of The Unexpected Visitor This Holiday Season!!
Badboy.....I also understand. HAve been there. Sometimes there is just no interest when there has been so much heartache and that's OK. Whatever keeps you and your family peaceful this season I wish for you.
Monster......I am in the same boat you're in although do to past deaths and my husband's illness. I have no interest. Don't want to put the tree up, my grandson's 10th b-day was yesterday and could as I have many times mustered up the "fake" smile. Give it time. Grief takes different turns for different people. A close friend who had lost her son at 18 to leukemia told me when my daughter passed to always remember there are no right or wrong ways to grieve. It's very individual. I've always remembered that and it's helped many people. Be you, feel the pain when you can, smile when you can, cry when you want to, it's your grief. My prayers are with both of you. God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |
