Help!! Working while off on TTD
My work is asking me to come in and help out with the use of my brain. I injured my wrist 2 weeks ago at work and have doctors orders to be off work for 3 more weeks. Work is in need of my knowledge for some reporting issues. Am I obligated to go to work to help them with this? I live in Illinois.

You have to have a lite work release from your doctor and work comp has to pay the difference in wages

I am very sure your doctor would allow you to work under the conditions you stated. Ask or even call the doctor. It's better to work if you can anyways, better for the mind and soul. Plus you keep your employer happy, while you still get medical treatment. Not a bad deal, many employers don't go that far.
