Books we've read.....................
"The Time Traveler's Wife" -- I just finished reading this book and was very dissappointed. I found it very difficult to keep focused. Although it was unique in it's writing style, and the author had quite an imagination, I still didn't like it and won't go see the movie.

"The Twilight Series" of 4 vampire books -- I purchased this, but haven't started reading yet. There is a lot of hype on the TV right now, with the 2nd book "New Moon" opening tonight at the theater.

Has anyone read the books I mention? and do you have any comments about them?

I want to find some really good "murder mysteries" and would welcome any suggestions.

I also wouldn't mind sharing books with forum members if anyone is interested???

Tongue Tongue Tongue

v.c. andrews wrote some good books such as" toys in the attic" and some others that were like sequels, you might check into those.

RE: Books we've read.....................
I have read some of VC Andrews books a long time ago. Wuthering Heights is my favorite book so you can imagine the difference...... I started to read Lovely Bones which I believe is true and after getting 1/4 of the way through it can't find it. I travel with a book and am wonering if I left it at the last stop. Sad My concentration level is horrrible so I'm much better with magazine articles right now. Can't hold to a book very easily. I have another appt. with the psychiatrist on Monday and am hoping she'll try another med change . The one from 10 days ago did nothing.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'll see what I can find on amazon.com.

Cap, I am really trying to pick up the reading again, as part of my recovery efforts. I used to be an avid reader, and writer; but like you, I have concentration issues. I'm sure many of us do. I have lost interest in so many things I once loved.

RE: Books we've read.....................
Chris I have a bunch of Ellery Queen Mystery Magazines. They are short stories compiled into one book, which are easier for me, since I can read an entire story quickly and don't lose track of what is going on. If you want I will send you some of them. Mysteries are my favorites. I love Agatha Christie.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

One I love is "soup for the Grandparents Soul" all short stories and just wonderful because they are about the great granparent/granchild relationship that we know and love.Wink

RE: Books we've read.....................
I am trying to read "Under the Dome" by Stephen King right now. Like many here I am also having problems staying focused on anything for long. This seems to be quite different from his normal horror genre although I am only about 160 pages into it so far.
