still no money

we settled our case with kemi 45 days ago,called our attny today...said it could take up to 3 MONTHS to get our settlement...why do we have to wait so long...our attny acts as if he doesnt want us calling him...any one else have this problem...just want this over,tired of being broke.!

each state has different procedures without knowing yours it's difficult to answer.
Many states require the settlement be written up and signed by both parties and their attys and then filed and approved by the comp court. the schedules of all involved dictate how fast the paperwork moves especially with holiday season and other scheduling conflicts. the volume of cases also affects the speed of the system.

IT sucks I know in N.J they have 60 days to pay you.Some companys like Travelers let you check your claim status online.Just got my check.It took 1 month.90 days I think would translate to getting your check around 50 days.Good luck,I know your going nuts!
