How the toilet rules my life

How the toilet rules my life
I've thought long and hard about this and have now decided to speak my mind.

It's not the toilet that rules my life. It's how the work comp system has changed my life so much that I've had to change even the simplest things.
In my case, the toilet, a very personal thing, sometimes stinky, constipating, a flushing habit to say the least.

1) I discovered that about 3 weeks ago I had started putting out my arms to balance myself and to aid the ease of sitting

2) Right foot out, left foot back.
I cannot get off the toilet unless my right foot is forward. About 8 months ago I didn't do that. Left knee buckled, I fell forward, my nose hit the cabinet nearly breaking it. Nearly breaking my glasses, giving me two black eyes.

I call myself a work comp victim. A victim of the system, where criminals get the better care. I have done no crime, I only reported that I was hurt at work, I only did as I was told.

If I ever get the chance to help support my family again, even if it's cleaning toilets. I will forever be so grateful. But know this..., if I am ever injured at a work place again. Even if 200 people witnessed it I WILL LIE!!!! I will deny that it happened at work. I will drag my behind home and tell all that that's where it happened!!! For I deserve better treatment than this, better care, justice and peace in my life. Because for now, the toilet rules over me. I'll get up now.

Thank you for your time,
BB

RE: How the toilet rules my life
BB, I don't know whether to laugh or cry at your post. It is so true that the toilet is a most important part of ADL (activities of daily living). I am too embarrassed to even tell my doctor about my struggles..............

Take care!

Let Go, and Let God......

RE: How the toilet rules my life
A teacher I worked with saw & reported my accident while I was at the doctor's office.

I had not reported the accident nor was I going to.

I went to HR and asked the director not to run this as work comp, they told me once a report is made it is out of their hands.

............
On the problem with the toliet....

I had the same problem you do; go to get up, knee buckles, and down you go.

RE: How the toilet rules my life
BB I agree. I have actually told people if I am lucky enough to go back to work and my arm gets cut off I will go to the ER and tell them " I was walking down the street and it just fell off." This is just so I never have to go through this again. I have trouble with the shower, for some reason I trip either getting in or out of the darn thing. I have bruises on my legs constantly because of this.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

Same here. BB....when i go to sit or get up the screaming that comes out from the knee pain and Bummer I also understand the imbalance and fear of going down. Sad

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

I Totally Understand All of the above Concerns!!! My Life has Changed Drastically, and My Injury has taken Many Outdoor Functions away from Me that I Loved!! The Pain is always a Constant and Unwanted Companion, and I Hate Every Pill I put in My Body, but I don't want to be Bedridden at 47!! Oh Well, Life Goes On, and Each New Day is another Battle!!!Smile

RE: How the toilet rules my life
Boy I can comment on this one, Ever try to poop sitting at a 45% at the back. Not an easy chore, I had to do that when I was released from hospitol.. 3 months later they lifted that restriction to 80% in which I had to costomize a comode.. Even until this day even while making deliveries if I cant find a handicap or at least a left handle or bar I cant sit, just dont have the strength to push off with left leg.

On the other note, I had no choice but to turn mine in as a wc case for it was a mva.. My auto ins denied the claim for I was using my personal vehicle for work porposes.. But I have had no complaints thus so far as they cant say I am faking or it dont hurt.. All they have to do is take the exray to see 40 some screws and plates in my pelvis/hip/back...
