RE: Is this really how I'm suppose to be treated??
Realize that it' easy for an employer to find out your past comp history and they may well do so as they whittle the candidate pool. Illegal but routine in some circles. n the other hand the Americans With Disabilities Act prohibits an employer from asking you any medical questions or about health issues including workers comp history. Issues concerning accommodation and who gets to ask are an ever changing murky part of this very poorly written and implemented law so answers are all over the map. With some luck you wont have to deal with any of it and just get the job.
One caveat is your current and future pulmonary function. If you are prone to RADS flare ups and therefore may have need to be out of the work place for medical reason from time to time you should be aware of how FMLA works. |
