RE: Is this really how I'm suppose to be treated??
Hi , I'm so sorry you have had this happen to you. You can no longer return to such an enviroment because it will "worsen or wake -up" your condition.....as will cig smoke, burning leaves, pvc fumes, etc. Anything that irritates the lungs, you will need to stear clear of.

For SSD....you have to be off work for a year, OR the doctor must predict & state you'll be off for a year in order to be approved. Sadly, since you are young, it will make the approval more difficult. Make sure your doctor knows you have applied for SSD, as he can help you obtain it by his wording.

Have you had extensive pulmonary testing which shows your exact resulting numbers? If so, possibly the tests will show you are bad enough to be approved for SSD automatically. There may be permanent damage to your lungs.

If you are able to work, try to find a job in a cleaner setting. There are maintenance jobs out there that are not in filthy quality air conditions. Possibly working outside in maintenance, or in clean rooms etc.

Hopefully your lawyer will get off his duff and get you what you're entitled to, which is WC approval, AND back pay.
If OSHA had a problem with your company....then there is proof that you have been in a bad enviroment. So what if it didn't effect others..they may not have been exposed to the same amounts of bad air quality as you.

Good Luck, and prayers going up for you! Lilly

Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!!

A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless!
