RE: Swine flu

Well first I want to thank you's, my son has turned ill also bad cough, chest hurts, feels like he going to puke. He couldnt sleep last night. We tried to pull him out of school yesterday but school nurse said he does not have all the symtoms.. Our schools are strict here, your kid misses 9 days of non dr excused you go to truency court and the parents get a fine and social services are knocking at your door.. My wife and I said bull shizz and pulled him out today cause even the nurse said today he's fine just a cold.. We brought him in to the ER and he was running 103 temp, and has chest congestion, gave us some codine to help him sleep and tylenol for fever.. The dr does not feel he has swine but if not better by mon to bring him back in.. We have decided to keep our son out of school untill this blows bye.

My parents are running fevers now also with same symptoms as my son, I have been lucky so far and pray I dont get it. And I also pray that this goes by real soon and does not hinder my son for he has bad asthma like I do...
Well now he puking great... goto go...

RE: Swine flu

Bronco- sorry your son and parents are sick, sounds like the flu. give him liquids, tea, soda, juice, broth, keep the tynenol going every 4-6 hours for temp, and something for cough, use his asthma inhaler as ordered. My son said the thing that helped the most was the inhalers. It took about two weeks for him to get over it and he still has the cough.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms

RE: Swine flu

Keep your kids home if they are sick. Forget about what the school's "policies" are. Remember, the President declared this flu a "national epidemic" which means in school terms, they can recoup all the ADA (attendance money) lost due to the flu. Family comes first!

RE: Swine flu

I am for sure keeping him home all next week, I will go in front of a judge and explain my reasons.. It dont take a rocket scientist to figure it out how to keep this from spreading... All the schools around us have closed down all within the last week, for cleaning and sanitizing.. They are absolute jerks in this town when it comes to tardy and absentces. When my oldest nephew died in a mva his brothers missed a week or 2, and they had the balls to take my sister to court over it..

My son is still caughing alot and the temp is down, still bounces between 100 and 102. He is cold but sweating like crazy, but over all feels better today.

Thanks for all your concerns .... Bronco
