move and dialysis
not sure we will ever get it all put away. We will be having a large yard sale in the Spring. There will be all kinds of things from furiture to nick nacks, we have furiture stacked double high and no place to put in the house. Table linens and if John has it his way will be saling some of my material.
As for Dialysis- No more allergy attacks ( Yahoo) But in the last week the machine has locked up and they were unable to give me back my blood so Wed they had to do blood work and almost sent me to the hospital to get a unit of blood. But I lucked out and was able to come home. John started with the swine flu last week and now I have it, and every joint in my body hurts. We both are having trouble keeping any thing down. Red if you will be coming any where near please let me know, I found the kniting machine and it is to heavy to ship. Jayne sorry it will be at least three years before I will have time to start a quilt for you. Wanda and I will be quilting my quilt and two others one for Melody and one for Alexis this winter and then making one for John and Wanda. then Dorothy has asked me to make one for my grandson Jordan. May God send his angels to hold you in his arms |

RE: move and dialysis
RNVic,
I know you will be glad when are done getting setteled in your new home. What is going on with the dialysis machine locking up? What do you mean by that comment? That is alot of blood to lose. I hope your kidneys are able to produce enough cells to replace what you lost. You do know that when your kidney's do not work that your body does not produce red blood cells like you need to. Are you getting any type of meds like Epogen (EPO) to aide you in making red blood cells? They need to change that maching out if it is a problem with your machine. Get those machine techs to workin. Of course in my center when we had a problem with a machine their comment to us was always that it was an operator malfunction....meaning it was our fault. Like we did not know how to operate our machines. They were just damn lazy and did not want to work. I pray they get this problem corrected cause you can't afford for this to be happening to you. Let me know how things continue to go for you with that situation. I hope you hubby gets to feeling better and you also. God bless and love ya! RE: move and dialysis
Cap- glad to know someone else has things still in boxes.
MJC- I am not married, John is my son. Had to take him to the ER this morning due to him coughing and pulled a muscle in his neck. They said it would take another week for him to get over the swine flu. They used a different machine Friday and where able to run the full run and return my blood. they were very concerned and are talking of changing me from plavix to comadin to keep it from cloting off. Yes, I get Epogen and Iron every time. They draw labs on me every two weeks, not just monthly. May God send his angels to hold you in his arms |

RE: move and dialysis
RNVic,
Sorry, I think I became confused about your son vs hubby......lol. I knew John was your son but as we all know with meds and memory laspe some things get by us at times.......lol. I pray he will recover soon from this swine flu. You saw our president declared a state of emergency due to the swine flu. Hppy you were able to get your full treatment and did not lose anymore blood due to your machine clotting off. For the most part, most of our patients here were on Coumadin as their blood thinner. Glad to hear that you are getting EPO. I know they will adjust your dosage as they read your labs weekly. Sometime you may need less and sometimes you may need more. That is something that will fluxuate depending on how much red blood your own body is producing. I am sure you know all that.....lol. I hope things continue to stay on track for you and they can get this blood clotting issue straightened out so you will stop losing blood during treatments. God bless and love ya! RE: move and dialysis
MJC- thank you so much for being there. You have been a great deal of help with learning about my dialysis and how to over come some of the problems. The biggest problem I have found is the lack of answers to questions, so many techs and nurse are not very quick to answer questions and teach about treatments.
May God send his angels to hold you in his arms |

RE: move and dialysis
If it stays in boxes, and NEVER gets put away...it will not hurt a thing!
Don't you fret yourself ..... use your energy on your health! Lilly Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!! A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless! |
