We are slowly becoming a nanny goverment.....and not having any personal responsiabilties......and we are little by little handing over every freedom we have to the goverment.....
I do believe that was the reason so many of our fore fathers left Europe....to get away and be free to live a life we are willing to work for...

Jane, I am glad to hear that you and your husband have excellent health coverage. At the begining of your post you say"we have earned it". Your husband is ex-miltary, are you? Are you saying that John Doe who has Aids has not earned health insurance,there for he does not deserve health insurance? Maybe John Doe was injured at work, and lost his job, making it impossable to pay the premuims a healthy person could not afford much less some one with a pre-existing condition.

In another post you mention how your daughter while in college with no health insurance ,had to seek medical treatment. You said, "when the hospital found out she had no insurance they sent their charity person to fill out paperwork, Becca didn't pay a dime, state run programs are there. Of course you get the student docs and the no frills room. Again I am asking where are we going to get the money to pay for the insurance program"?
Jane we all pay for state run programs! Not only with taxes, you can also throw in higher hospital costs, because even though they are state run programs they need money to keep the doors open just like any other state agency. Then the costs are passed to insurance companies, who are not going to let those profit levels drop, so guess who ends up paying for it in the long run.
