Once again trying for settlement hearing as the second inssurer has not made a move on any offers or anything. Last hearing was held up, because GOOD Attorney holding the $100,000.00 from first injury could not make it. And was very nice nice and requested my permission to have it continued. I truely agreed to this. This is my Blanket insurance so to speak in my settlement. The second Insurer is going to be much higher of a request, as I was back to work after a 3 level cervical fusion, performing Very/Heavy work without any problems, till 6 months later of working a prankster played his prank on me, causing the 3 level fusion to blow out, blow out the plate and screws that held it in also. Surgery was performed to replace the 3 level fusion. I had to wait, and heal, then I had to go back on the table, with a 20% chance of living through this operation, have the 3 level plate and screws removed, closed up the front, turned body over, sliced from half way up skull, and half way down my back, to now have a 6 level fusion perform from C3 to T1, with rods and screws on both side the spine. A bone growth simulator implanted at my request, was approved, and proved to work in healing process. My carrer ended the day of the prank, I can't work like I wish, and now live in pain everyday. I was not in any pain before the prank, and I was off all and any medications. Not like now, live on medications. Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. RE: Hearing , once again
Good luck. I wish I never had that plate and screws put in my neck. I'm in worse shape now than I was then. The good thing is the surgeon who screwed me up lost his medical license and had over 30 malpractice lawsuits filed against him in 2 years.
The bad news was that by the time I got an attorney and was ready to file suit there was nothing left. His medical malpractice insurance had expired and reached its limit. Again, hang in there and good luck. |
