RE: Can't see my new granddaughter due to swine flu?
kat.... I didn't hear fr om you so didn't do to much to collect funds. I am glad that you are getting this resolved. A mother and child must be together in my mind. This bonding period is very important for both. my prayers are going up. Red
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. |

RE: Can't see my new granddaughter due to swine flu?
Thank you very much for keeping my daughter and newborn in your prayers.
I stayed up late last night, wrote a complaint to the Hospital Patient's Relation Department and I also wrote a letter to our senator. The hospital social worker just called today, they will pick up the remaining balance for my daughter's Tamiflu so at least this is good news. I will keep you all posted. I just wanted to share our calvaria with everyone so you all can be prepared if in same situation. The bad thing is, we are still not sure what type of flu we were exposed to. It came quick, lasted for two days and only the kids had high fever. I never had any symptoms, so I assume I am immune to whatever it was. Kat |

RE: Can't see my new granddaughter due to swine flu?
Latest update...because of my daughter's case, the hospital director called a huge meeting and they are setting up guidelines, how to handle possible swine flu cases.
They think, everyone in my daughter's family had the swine flu because the regular flu season didn't hit yet. They started my daughter on the Tamiflu and also the baby and she will be released in two days. Kat |

RE: Can't see my new granddaughter due to swine flu?
Baby was released just a few hours ago and everyone is happy. They gave the baby Tamiflu as a precaution and we don't have to wear mask to go near her.

RE: Can't see my new granddaughter due to swine flu?
Thanks God KAt that all worked out. Enjoy that baby.
My husband was in the hospital with pneumonia, low white cound and low platellet count. This all stems from his Chemo BUT he was given Tamiflu from day 1 along with his anitbiotics just in case. He tested neg for both flus but I don't see hospitals taking chances esoecailly with high risk people. God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |
