Obama Nobel Prize - WTF?
Out of respect for another forum member who asked that negative comments be withheld from their thread, I thought those of us who were absolutely floored by this complete sham of an award should have an area in which to discuss it.
What on God's green earth has he accomplished to deserve such an award? The key word in my question, of course, is "accomplished". Spouting naive, dreamy views of a Utopian paradise does not, in my view count. "In the interest of peace, one should change their signature often" (or when threatened by someone who packs heat)

RE: Obama Nobel Prize - WTF?
Well in my opinion, All on the committee that nominated him for the award couldn't be wrong. And we as a nation should be proud and stand behind our President....

Tuffy Wrote:Well in my opinion, All on the committee that nominated him for the award couldn't be wrong. And we as a nation should be proud and stand behind our President....With all due respect, that argument does not hold water with me. In the 18th century the majority of this nation believed that slavery was acceptable. Didn't make them right. The entire German nation supported Hitler and the Nazi party while they destroyed Europe. Didn't make them right. But that does not matter. Instead of saying, "Well they can't all be wrong", why not answer my question: What has the man ACCOMPLISHED to deserve such a formerly prestigious award? "In the interest of peace, one should change their signature often" (or when threatened by someone who packs heat)

RE: Obama Nobel Prize - WTF?
He was voted in as President of the United States!!!!! And I would even support you if you were elected. I may not agree with all his beliefs, but that does not change the fact of the office he holds. I am a believer in UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL....

RE: Obama Nobel Prize - WTF?
Ace you have open a hornest nest but I also do not believe the man has accomplished anything except to pull the wool over a whole lot of peoples eyes...another question is doesnt this prize come with a million dollar award and isnt he not allowed as president to accept this large cash award? maybe he can use it to fund acorn or one of his pet projects since he is selling america doen the tubes......
Again you have opened a very large can of worms as many on here are in awe of this shape shifter..... ;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: Obama Nobel Prize - WTF?
I feel if you don't want to support him then vote him out at the next election. I do not want to get into a war on politics or Religion so I have said all I am going to. That is what we have in this country, Freedom of speech amoung others, You believe as you do and I believe as I do.. I'am done.....................

Tuffy Wrote:He was voted in as President of the United States!!!!!Tuffy, I am not trying to get in a fight here, but last time I looked being elected President of the United States did not mean you automatically qualified for a Nobel Peace Prize. Don't get mad because I state an opinion. I honored the request to not take the other thread negative. Apparently no such restriction will apply here. Typical of the current climate. You are not allowed to criticize this president without being labeled a bigot or un-american. RE: Obama Nobel Prize - WTF?
I do believe that pattern is changing Ace many are finding out he isnt what he said he was....and that it takes more than "wishing on a star" to get things done...
Many are hyper sensative of their man they voted him in for a varity of reasons and they are finding out he is after all "just" a man with faults just like everyone else ;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: Obama Nobel Prize - WTF?
Ace I believe you opened up this thread with good intentions.. Some may disagree that this shouldnt be done, (bashing Nobama). Tuffy, your a tuff cookie in beliefs and I aplaud you for that. Just as any of our presidents, some do some dont and feelings get hurt and that is not the intention here...
I have family members who wanted change and it was to get the circle broken and some new blood in office.. Some liked his ways and some just wanted change...... """" Now I'm going out on a limb here""" I feel like I have let a lot of americans down ( I voted for this SOB and regret every moment.. My father I'm sure had a lot to do with perswading my thoughts, and he is so ashamed of what this man has turned out to be.. ""( A liar )"".. He set out with all the best intensions like almost every president has but he needs to wake up and start being the man to run our country..... Now I did post this in early election that I voted for him, but didnt want to let everybody know for I was ashamed of my self for doing.... SO I had to come clean with this, I could not take this anymore, ""(( Sorry Jayne/Ace/still/AQA/ and any others I have betrayed with my honesty, now I did not lie for I did post this in earl election but my feelings still stand about this (("" leader ""), he will not get re-elected the next term. To many people have been let down from his false intentions------------------I think the only thing left is show- bizz it would make a good cartoon........ Once again I'm so sorry............... |
